Musical director

Carol Donaldson has been our musical director since January 2010.

Carol has led choirs for many years and is a member of the Natural Voice Network. She also runs the Open Voice Choir in Manchester, Wrexham One World Community Choir in North Wales, and two wellbeing choirs – the NW Stroke Choir and Christies Hospital Choir, Manchester.

She enjoys leading singing at demos, for causes and at community events. Most notable recently was at the anti-Trump demo in Manchester, leading 2,000 people in 'Hit the Road, Trump'!

She has composed music for theatre, and occasionally TV, for over 30 years, most recently shows for The Dukes in Lancaster and two sell-out new musicals for Oldham Coliseum – 'Meat Pie Sausage Roll' and 'Dreamers'.

Carol's approach to singing is very inclusive, aiming to create beautiful, relevant songs whilst make the process fun, uplifting and exciting along the way.
