Carol DonaldsonCarol DonaldsonOur new musical director from January 2010 is Carol Donaldson. Carol has been leading choirs for 10 years now after working as a Musical Director in professional theatre for many years. She led Manchester Community Choir for 5 years and currently also runs ‘Open Voice’ from Manchester, a singing group for McMillan’s and a homeless choir in Oldham. She sometimes composes for TV and Radio and also teaches part time at The Oldham College on the Musical Theatre course there.

Carol lives in Manchester and is mother to Sam, Felix and Isla (Aged 20, 13 and 12).

Her approach to singing is very inclusive, and she strives to create a good balance between having fun and singing to a high standard.

Carol is looking forward very much to working with CVV having seen them perform at Street Festivals over the years and loving what they do. As well as upholding favourites from existing repertoire, she is looking forward to bringing new songs which will include Eastern European, African, Gaelic and more.
