In the workshop we tried to decipher Georgian words to chant and sing...and then in the concert the choir surprised us with Georgian dancing that was almost as good as their vocal pyrotechnics...


...besides the expected, if still brilliant delights of shape note and gospel signing, we were also treated to intricate Corsican folk songs...

 


...plus a surprisingly slow and sensual version of the Marabini...

It was an excellent night. Such energy, synchronisation, range, passion and enjoyment. Oh, and they sang well.
